The Matrix Revolutions (2003) Reactions

Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) copies on The Matrix Revolutions movie poster.

DJ Hadoken has this to say:

Who liked The Matrix Revolutions?

BurpingCat reacts:
I thought it was ok... but I think the entire series took a very wrong turn somewhere along the line. Some sort of bad stylistic choice that made the movie seem less deep than it actually was... which is weird, because usually it’s the other way around.

Secher Nbiw reacts:
I liked it overall but I do agree that some of the events took a cheesy route. Still, some of the big picture remained “deep”. I also found Revolutions to have a lot of similarities to the Dune series...

The General reacts:
Caution: Spoiler.

Did anybody else cheer when Trinity died?

DJ Hadoken agrees:
Caution: more Spoilers.

Yes.. Trinity.. was so... I think somewhere along the line she stopped being a character and just some woman who follows Neo around. And she also wore her sunglasses too much. Morpheus also kind of lost his significance somewhere along the way... and you can tell those Wachovia brothers ran out of ideas when they decided to just turn the Matrix into Dragon Ball Z.. yes..

That serves as a lesson to people. When something becomes a franchise, its respectability is pretty much gone. Money becomes the plot... the corruption of capitalism.... argh!

And I know that they aren’t really the “Wachovia” brothers.. but I’m trying to make a point here.

BUT THE COLONEL WAS BACK! WITH HIS CHICKEN!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn’t believe it when the Colonel said he was Neo’s father.. that was so unexpected.

BurpingCat continues:
In The Matrix Revolutions, Morpheus looked less like a black guy and more like a chumpy bald alien.

The Minstrel reacts:
All of your questions will be answered...

Since we see that The Matrix left many things unanswered, in order to fill in all the gaps our greedy friends the Wachowski brothers will probably want you to purchase The Animatrix 2 which will probably cost around 30 dollars for a 10 minute movie which explains just a fraction of what you want to know. In order for more knowledge you must purchase the MMORPG “The Matrix Online”.

See, as the Wachowski brothers’ wallets grow, their greed will also continue to grow. Of course, it won’t stop there. Expect The Matrix: The Toilet Paper, The Lunchbox, T-shirts a few Neo dolls all revealing a bit of the answers we want so badly.
